MEOW 2025
Earlier this year, our tutors at Dragon Curve worked on designing a completely new program, hoping to bridge the gender gap in STEM. We focused on empowering young women with higher level math, releasing the Mathematical Exploration and Opportunities for Women program in May.
In MEOW, students worked in three groups, each with a different topic. The City Design Group used graph theory to design a mathematically structured city; the Cryptography Group learned about modular arithmetic, ciphers, and prime factorization; and The Fractal Art Group concentrated on creating intricate fractal designs. On the last day, students presented their findings to parents and peers.
Once again, our tutors thank all of the wonderful girls who participated in MEOW. We wish nothing but the best of luck to these bright students on their mathematical journey!
